Responsibility

  • registered Young People's Manager
  • in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and comprehensive care of all residents
  • prioritize the safety and well-being of all residents, taking proactive measures to address any concerns or risks
  • manage and supervise staff members, providing guidance, support, and regular performance evaluations
  • develop and implement effective policies and procedures for the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, staff schedules, incidents, and other administrative tasks
  • we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager for Children and Young People to oversee the daily operations of residential homes for young people aged 16 to 18
  • manage the home's budget and finances, including billing, payroll, and expense monitoring

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, youth work, or a related field
  • registered Young People's Manager certification required
  • strong financial acumen and budgeting skills to effectively manage resources
  • in-depth knowledge of home care regulations, child protection guidelines, and industry best practices for both children and young people
  • proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people, recognizing their unique needs and challenges
  • strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities effectively
