Requirements
- have previous experience in a finance role within a family run business
- have experience preparing month end and year end statutory accounts
- be aware and adhere to financial statutory regulations and legislation
- be ACCA/ACA, AAT or CIMA qualified
- have previous experience of using an accounting system
- ideally have knowledge and experience of processing payroll
- ideally have knowledge of working within the waste and recycling industry or a manufacturing sector
- financial accounting: 3 years
Responsibility
- monitoring financial accounting systems and processes to ensure quality systems, controls, and best practice
- managing cash flow planning and monitoring
- acting as the final point of authorisation for all bank payments
- ensuring efficient anti-fraud checks are in place across the department
- identifying cost savings across the department and the business
- reviewing, and ensuring adherence to the budgets for each department
- budgetary planning; including identifying upcoming and current capital requirements
- interpreting complex financial information and providing updates and information as needed
