Responsibility

  • must have knowledge of the EYFS, child development & more importantly being an inspiring 'Play Partner' to our children
  • safeguarding, SEN & Health & Safety knowledge is desirable, however full training will be given
  • parkside Day Nursery is a brand-new nursery located near Hessle in a beautiful Victorian Property which is being fully restored ready for opening to provide 39 places for children from birth to 5
  • we are looking for a driven, motivated qualified Early Years Deputy Manager who will support the manager to embed the company’s ethos around providing a high quality, child-led approach to early years childcare & education, where holistic opportunities are given for children to develop a lifelong love of learning around the companies educational programme
  • the ideal candidate will have a level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification as a minimum with 2 years post qualifying experience
  • A proven desire to promote teamwork within the Parkside 'family', embed a sustainability ethos & a sense of community with everyone who uses the nursery
  • parkside Day Nursery is committed to Safer Recruitment & all successful candidates will have to undertake DBS checks & references as part of the selection process

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field preferred
  • at least 3 years of experience in a management role in a plant nursery or similar environment
  • knowledge of plant care, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
  • experience with inventory management and ordering stock
  • strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
  • excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
