Responsibility

  • chef required to work in privately owned hotel and restaurant, established over 10 years
  • the candidate will be part of an existing team of 5 and will need to have strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • have a proven record and experience as a Chef within a professional kitchen environment
  • restaurant specialises in functions & events; a la carte evening menu; afternoon tea and Sunday Lunches. Provides restaurant services to local diners and hotel guests
  • must have at least 4 years experience with modern British Dining and have worked within a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef Role in order to support Head Chef at Hamiltons Restaurant
  • hamiltons Restaurant is open from Monday - Sunday. Weekends will fall part of the role
  • must be able to commute to the location within 20-25 mins or looking for a Chef wishing to relocate to the area
  • the successful applicant will have a strong passion for cooking and be innovative with ideas and can deliver high standards when working under pressure

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen setting
  • knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food quality
  • ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • cover Head Chef absences and any holiday periods
