Responsibility
- the implementation the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, planning and ensuring children’s’ interests and experiences are embedded within their day
- able to use own initiative in planning, preparing and delivering activities for an individual and/or small group of children
- be able to work effectively with parents, teachers and other agencies to provide the very best support for all our children
- to follow all procedures in relation to Health and Safety ensuring children are safe
- to have knowledge of and implement the settings working practices, policies and procedures, with particular reference to SEND, child protection, vulnerable children and supporting children with SEND
- to undertake the role of key person to ensure children’s needs, experiences and interests are fully supported in order for them to reach their full potential
- to accurately record children’s starting points and development including analysis of progress in partnership with parents/carers in order to plan effectively to support ongoing progress
Requirements
- qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience as a Nursery Nurse in a day care setting
- the successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Disclosure
- have a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Early Years Outcomes, safeguarding and child protection and experience or an interest in supporting children with SEND
