Responsibility
- verify outgoing goods are to specification via inspection. Raise any non-conformances with the engineering and planning team
- communicate minor cosmetic defects to subcontractors for approval via form of a report before dispatch
- build quality catalogue, of acceptable and unacceptable defects
- work with the Warehousing, Production and Dispatch team to reduce cosmetic damage caused by materials handling and shipping
- notify the Engineering department of required updates to inspection documents
- with Inbound Inspection conduct quality patrols
- assist the Quality Director, Quality Manager and Quality Systems Manager with basic audit tasks
- independently plan workload to meet shipping targets
Requirements
- experience of interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- production experience
- experience of identifying and resolving quality problems
- A flexible, “hands-on,” proactive approach
- excellent time and task management, communication and team working skills
- open to travel for work within Asia
