Responsibility
- assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in patients
- develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals
- provide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills
- collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- educate patients and their families on techniques to improve communication skills
- keep detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
- master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
