- liaise with relevant functions to identify purchasing requirements and material specifications including assisting with selecting and integrating suitable contractors and vendors
- request quotes, raise and issue purchase orders for all relevant services and materials
- liaise with contractors to establish lead times and ensure RAMS and insurance documentation is provided before PO approval where appropriate
- coordinate the supplier non-conformance process ensuring that supplier issues are documented and investigated appropriately with relevant function heads
- manage the approved supplier list on a rolling 2-year cycle and remove underperforming or unnecessary vendors where appropriate
- collaborate with Engineering to establish a manufacturing strategy for outsourcing system builds
