Responsibility

  • in this role you will partner with our external app development company, bringing this work inhouse into Owlstone Medical
  • owlstone Medical has developed a breath analyzer for disease for the early detection of cancer, inflammatory and infectious disease Our mission is to save 100,000 lives and $1.5B in healthcare costs
  • we are seeking to recruit a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support us with launching a new app for our new product, OMED Health
  • through OMED Health, we are able to pinpoint patient digestive health problems using at-home breath testing and professional analysis of the gases in exhaled breath
  • as part of this product we provide patients with a handheld breath analyzer to detect the levels of hydrogen and methane gas in their breath anytime, anywhere
  • our app tracks the levels of gases in exhaled breath, alongside data inputted direct from the patient, allowing qualified GI Physiologists to diagnose and treat digestive health concerns, direct to the patient
  • application Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring they meet high-performance and security standards
  • gathering feature requirements and improvements through the Product Owners, you will work within the programme to roll out improvements to the app, updates and bug fixing

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile app projects for both iOS and Android
  • proficiency in iOS app development using Swift and SwiftUI, as well as Android app development using Kotlin/Java
  • strong frontend and backend development skills, including knowledge of databases, API design, and server architecture
  • experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
