Requirements
- with experience of health and safety implementation in the workplace, eg, carrying out risk assessments, investigations, near misses etc
- excellent hazard spotting across a wide range of disciplines
- work on own and as part of a small team; take initiative and prioritise own workload
- proactive and with good problem-solving skills
- good customer service/relationship building skills
- experience: Experience in heavy industry, up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and issues in this environment
- ability to review complex information and relate it to the potentially diverse needs of both an individual and the
- company. Experienced at taking minutes, carrying out/assisting in safety audits and writing H&S reports
Responsibility
- advise Management in any perceived failings in any safety management systems
- attend any local client meetings as Otto Simon’s H&S adviser
- drive the H&S agenda at site level ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and up to date
