Responsibility
- prepare pizza dough by mixing ingredients, kneading, and stretching to achieve the desired consistency and thickness
- select and prepare a variety of fresh ingredients, including vegetables, meats, cheeses, and sauces, to create mouthwatering pizza toppings
- contribute to menu development by suggesting new pizza recipes and innovative flavor combinations
- maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients
- coordinate with kitchen staff to prioritize pizza orders and ensure timely preparation
- ensure the quality and consistency of pizzas by inspecting ingredients, monitoring cooking processes, and addressing any quality issues promptly
- keep the pizza station and work area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and provide assistance when needed
Requirements
- proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment
- strong knowledge of pizza dough making, various pizza styles, and cooking techniques
- familiarity with different types of pizza ovens and their operation
- creativity and ability to develop new pizza recipes and toppings
- excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
