delivery van driver
Responsibility
- safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies
- load and unload goods from the vehicle, which may involve heavy lifting
- plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and ensure timely deliveries
- communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations vis the Hand Held Device
- conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability
Requirements
- valid driving licence
- previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous
- ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively
- familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service is essential
- delivery driver experience: 1 year
- driving: 1 year
