Responsibility
- production of detailed CAD construction drawings for manufacture
- creating a precise bill of materials and liaising with different suppliers
- effective communication with team members and suppliers
- creative technical design and development of furniture
Requirements
- an education in furniture & product design or an engineering discipline, although other backgrounds will be considered
- ideally 2 years’ experience working in the construction/ manufacturing industry in a related role
- competent drawing in 3D CAD software, with evident ability to produce concise & coherent technical drawings
- A solid technical understanding of joinery, manufacturing processes, modern materials and fittings would be desirable
- making skills would be held in high regard, as would experience designing metalwork
- autoCAD: 1 year
