Responsibility
- collaborate with colleagues to design intelligent solutions to the business needs, and participate in code reviews to maintain sound engineering practices
- mentoring other members of the team in your area of expertise
- work across the full-stack fo the project, but with specific ownership over server-side components, including writing tests and ensuring quality metrics are met
- work as part of a distributed agile team and take an interest in how best to optimize the working practices to deliver a quality product
Requirements
- excellent Node.js and TypeScript development skills
- an understanding of working further down the stack using libraries such as React, Redux or Apollo
- experience building and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs
- demonstrate an understanding of decoupling services and using products like Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
- understanding of security, including authentication vs. authorization, and how to entitle specific user functions without over-entitling
- proven track record designing and building on modern cloud platforms
- A good understanding of software development lifecycles, including testing, CI/CD, and deployment
- strong data modeling skills and the ability to create appropriate data storage solutions for both high-performance interactive use and data warehousing for archival and analysis
