Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • chartered membership of IOSH
  • ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • extensive knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS145001
  • experience of investigation techniques
  • experience of the development and monitoring of management systems
  • hold a formal Environmental qualification such as IEMA Certificate

Responsibility

  • to implement and maintain the content of the specific site project induction and HSE plans
  • to plan and conduct effective audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with Project/Company policies, strategies, and procedures
  • to provide strong HSE representation for Atkins at project and construction HSE Meetings with the client, principal contractor, and our sub-contractors to ensure they are aware of future work activity so that risks can be identified, and safety control measures arranged
  • to be able to communicate an extensive knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS145001
  • to understand and ensure project teams and contractors are working under the Construction, Design and Management regulations, HSE legislation and Client Standards
  • to support the development and review of HSE management systems and SharePoint sites
  • to deliver and develop toolbox talks, to enable the support or project stand ups. This includes ensuring suitable material and presentations are available for employee and contractors’ interaction
  • to carry out effective and timely investigation event reporting of injuries, incidents, and close calls, meeting the requirements of the client and our clients’ standards
