Responsibility
to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills across a range of issues and with a range wide of other professional and carers/parents
you will be responsible in planning and delivering bespoke interventions to children and young people within their education and/or home environments
to negotiate with others around case management in complex cases in consultation with other health and education professionals
the role will also require you to plan, write and deliver training programmes to education staff, families and other professionals
to contribute towards the provision of advice, training and information to education staff and other health professionals within an education environment
to independently develop individual occupational therapy intervention plans within the areas of specialism
the main part of the role is providing advice to others regarding the management and care of children with sensory processing difficulties, motor difficulties, poor emotional well-being, or any other disorder/ condition
to provide advice to others regarding the management and care of children with sensory processing dysfunction, motor difficulties, poor emotional well-being, or any other disorder/ condition within your clinical area of knowledge
Requirements
hold a degree in occupational therapy
HCPC registered
full driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance, as travel is required daily
competent IT skills
occupational Therapist: 2 years
ability to self-manage, prioritise and delegate appropriately to manage own workload yet able to recognise the need for and seek support when necessary
knowledgeable in OT models and treatment approaches and able to critically evaluate implementation within clinical area in line with organisational policies and evidence-based practice principles
