Responsibility
- championing and creating space an environment in which children can learn through play, develop and have fun
- developing and delivering activities that'll extend and support our children's development and their learning outcomes
- carrying out observations, evaluating and recording children's progress, sharing these with other teammates, leaders and parents
Show more +9 - working alongside the Head of Nursery and Development to ensure we comply - or exceed - all the relevant legal/statutory regulations/frameworks
- stepping up as the acting 'manager' during our Manager's absence, including out-of-hours support where necessary
- undertaking a Key Person responsibilities, ensuring high quality care is integrated right across the Nursery's ethos
- understanding, following and championing the correct policies, and championing the ethos that underpins the ONI Nursery Alpha
- undertaking additional training and certification to support
- ensuring the welfare and safety of the children takes priority above all else, taking responsibility for safeguarding children as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
- as our Deputy Manager you'll be part of our mission to help revolutionise care in the early years sector
- if you' haveve the knowledge of safeguarding, early years management and experience working with under two-year-olds, then all the better
- to take on the role of Fire Marshall and Designated Safeguarding Lead when the Manager is off duty
Requirements
- minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
- enhanced DBS check/ update service subscription
- A minimum of 3 years recent experience in a nursery setting
