Responsibility
- oversee all aspects of pub operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance
- develop and execute strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high standards of service
- recruit, train, and lead a dedicated team, fostering a positive work environment
- implement marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers, including special events and promotions
- ensure the pub maintains compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and legal requirements
- manage inventory, control costs, and analyse financial data to achieve budgetary goals
- build relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable contracts to optimize product quality and pricing
- we are seeking an experienced and motivated Pub Manager to take charge and operate independently at a charming pub located in South Cambridgeshire
Requirements
- previous experience as a Pub Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- proven track record in successfully managing pub operations, including staff supervision, financial management, and customer satisfaction
- strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and engage with customers
- ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities
- knowledge of licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and legal compliance in the hospitality industry
- excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle various aspects of pub management
- proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and inventory control
- live-in opportunity: Previous experience in live-in arrangements preferred
