- my client is opening a new supported living service based in Radlett, St Alban's in newly refurbished bungalows supporting twelve to sixteen people with a learning disability and potentially other associated support needs
- my client is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to work with us at our new supported living service in the village of Warlingham near Caterham
- you will work alongside the service manager to help lead and manage the service supporting four adults with learning disabilities, autism, behaviors that challenge, epilepsy, mental health needs & ADHD in their own home
- this role is central in maintaining and further developing our care principles, which centre on 'wellness, happiness, and kindness'
- we're looking for Assistant Service Managers to join the brand new team with the idea that an Assistant Service Manager will be based at one bungalow
- crossway's Supported Living is an exciting new service in a newly refurbished building for six people with low level learning disabilities support needs
- in this role you will motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching, and leadership by example
- you and your team will be supporting them to live as independently as possible in the community and to create their own home

- as well as being clinically responsible for certain operational areas, you will also take a significant role in the management of the staff team

- this role will include working alongside the Service Manager in the day to day running of the service as well as management and coordination of support hours, Rota's, assisting with recruitment of new staff, management of staff, shift leading, maintaining records as well as day to day support including personal care, cooking, cleaning and administering medication
- you will have an effective way of communicating with your team, and above all, act as a champion for everything that you do

- to provide Clinical Leadership and supervision within the Service
- to ensure complaints and suggestions are positively actioned and dealt with correctly, within the prescribed timescales

- will have full accountability for Infection Control implementation and audit throughput the service
- manage the smooth running of the service’s including rostering, support plans, staff deployment and managing budgets
- stay up to date with policies and procedures to carry out and maintain safe and best practices
- support the Service Manager to recruit new employees and develop and manage your staff team in a fair and consistent manner
Requirements
- good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008
- developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
- provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met
