  • an exciting opportunity has arisen at Fernlea care home we are seeking to recruit an experienced, dedicated, and highly motivated Nursery Manager to lead a brand new 30 place nursery located in the grounds of Fernlea Care Home nestled beside Torkington Park
  • this is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a Nursery Manager to develop and lead the newly built Nursery within the care home
  • do you have what it takes to lead a new nursery, keep a strong focus on the development and the welfare of the children
  • the idea candidate will have 3-4 years’ experience in early years, with the ability to monitor all aspects of the EYFS framework, managing a team and providing outstanding care for children up to 5 years of age
  • good communication skills, team work and initiative are essential as you will need to build key relationships with children, parents and employees
  • we are committed to developing our service to meet the needs of residents, children, parents and the local community. You will need a real sense of wanting to create an outstanding setting that achieves amazing outcomes for children
  • be responsible for the Health & Safety Standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensure staff compliance and awareness

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification. Desirable EYP / Degree in Childhood studies
  • experience of working with children from 6 months - 5 years
  • ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people
  • good organisational skills
  • ability to prioritise work and delegate appropriately
  • to support the staff team
  • to be able to promote the nursery in a positive and professional manner
  • an understanding of children's needs and behaviour
