this is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a Nursery Manager to develop and lead the newly built Nursery within the care home
do you have what it takes to lead a new nursery, keep a strong focus on the development and the welfare of the children
the idea candidate will have 3-4 years’ experience in early years, with the ability to monitor all aspects of the EYFS framework, managing a team and providing outstanding care for children up to 5 years of age
good communication skills, team work and initiative are essential as you will need to build key relationships with children, parents and employees
we are committed to developing our service to meet the needs of residents, children, parents and the local community. You will need a real sense of wanting to create an outstanding setting that achieves amazing outcomes for children
be responsible for the Health & Safety Standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensure staff compliance and awareness
Requirements
NVQ Level 4 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification. Desirable EYP / Degree in Childhood studies
experience of working with children from 6 months - 5 years
ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people
good organisational skills
ability to prioritise work and delegate appropriately
to support the staff team
to be able to promote the nursery in a positive and professional manner
an understanding of children's needs and behaviour
