deputy nursery manager
Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- assist the Nursery Manager in daily operations, including planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive curriculum
- supervise and support nursery staff, ensuring they provide quality care and maintain a safe environment for children
- interact with children on a regular basis, fostering their development, well-being, and positive behavior
- coordinate parent communication and maintain positive relationships with families, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their child's progress
- conduct regular assessments to track children's development and implement individualized learning plans as needed
- ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and child protection
- work along side nursery manager taking on job roles which may include any of the following fire safety, SENCo and Safeguarding
- preschool
Requirements
- minimum of 3 years of experience working in a childcare setting, with a focus on early years education
- A relevant qualification of Level 3 or higher in Early Years
- strong understanding of child development principles and knowledge of age-appropriate activities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children, parents, and staff
- demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- first Aid and CPR certification
