Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- interpret 2D drawings
- precision milling of components using XZY milling machines and manual horizontal and vertical milling
- determine set up and tooling independently
- experience with XYZ Protrak is a major advantage
- bench fitting, de-burring, surface grinding and general machine shop duties
- opportunities for training in wire cut EDM and NDT inspection
- experience with use of micrometres, verniers etc
Requirements
- A highly motivated and proactive person who can demonstrate successful experience in a similar role
- demonstrating a willingness to support others in all areas of the business and train others, learning and adopting best practices
- experience with turning is beneficial, this role is aimed to be developed into multi-skilled machinist
- you must have experience in a metal cutting, precision engineering, manual milling and ideally basic CNC programming. We have 2 XYZ milling machines using the protrak system
