For me, the organizational communication unit (OCU) feels like an apartheid system from old South Africa. Both floors seem to follow different ideologies, and the planning manager (AD) acts as a king due to the support she receives from the top. So, I wish them all the best of luck as I move towards the land of reality..

I think the question with OCU is not whether or not the company is right for you but are you right for this company. To help you decide you need to ask yourself a few question.

Are you interested in career progression, is integrity important to you, are you loyal, a good team player and do you want to feel valued in your job. Do you wish to stay clear of (deleted by the administrator). Would you always do the right thing. If you have answered any of the above with YES then i would stay clear of this company as you have the right mindset and good for you as well.

This company is full of unqualified power hungry managers, mostly at senior level who dont know what they are doing. They cant help you when things go wrong as they are clueless. If you show any means of wanting more money or a promotion you will become hated and they will find a way to get rid of you. All the senior managers are scared to be exposed or lose their precious titles and will gladly put an innocent employee out on the street unable to lay bills if they feel threatened by them. All they care about is maintaining their position that they blagged tirelessly to get. One thing they all have in common though.... they all love the colour brown.

Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere unless of course all the above appeals to you then you should fit right in. Wont be hard they take people in with no skills, experience or knowledge and promote them to quickly so they fail and leave. Its a production line of staff that dont stay round long enough to get comfortable. Worst retention ive ever seen. Framework managers getting over ran by self declared senior glorified office managers. Says it all!!! Good luck.

But how those managers can feel threatened by other employees? You mean by their growing competences or what?

So basically the majority as i said are unqualified but every now and then someone comes along who either is qualified or does know what there doing. I was headhunted to work for this company as i knew the contracts very well and managed them with ease. I was disliked from day 1 by all contract managers as they thought i had come to take their jobs. I had no interest of course but this is what i mean by feeling threatened. They promote incompetent people above intelligence quite regularly. They are easier to control and dont threaten their agenda.

Yes, if they change approach from - “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
