communications officer

Education

  • 2 years of professional experience in digital communications and preferably campaigning
  • experience turning complex policy issues into innovative and engaging social media campaigns
  • experience of building an engaged supporter base

Requirements

  • high level of knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • basic video editing skills to create and edit short videos for social media platforms
  • familiarity with social media listening tools to monitor conversations and sentiment around ocean conservation
  • demonstrated experience in managing and growing social media accounts for a NGO, campaigning group, or similar
  • experience of website design
  • proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to schedule posts, evaluate performance, and gain insights
  • knowledge of SEO principles and strategies to optimize website content for search engines
  • experience with graphic design tools to create visually appealing social media assets
