- prepare and serve meals
- assist with medication
- assist with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- provide emotional support and a safe environment for the individual
- deescalate situations when service users are going through trauma
Education
- A-Level or equivalent
Requirements
- previous experience working with individuals with autism and trauma IS A MUST
- ability to handle verbal abuse and aggression in a calm and professional manner
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- patience, empathy, and a caring nature
- this is flexible role, you can work 1 week on and 1 week off, 2 weeks on and 2 week off
- ability to solve problems and deal with challenges and obstacles
- you will always be working with a minimum of 1 other person in the home to share the workload
- genuine interest in caring for others
