Responsibility

  • oakfield House Childrens Home is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to support our children
  • this position requires the ability to provide consistent daily care
  • however, the pay rate is great and the job satisfaction is well worth the effort
  • the job can be physically demanding and involves walking and supporting the children in a variety of activities The job can also be mentally draining as many of the children we care have complex needs and must be treated with great care, compassion and respect in the face of challenging behaviours

Requirements

  • must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • must be able to pass a full background check and obtain a clear enhanced DBS ( paid for by company
  • must be able to work alternative weekends and be reliable
  • must be committed to training and obtaining a level 3 in childrens residential care or already have this qualification
  • must be able to work in all weather conditions and undertake a variety of activities while supporting our children
  • must be able to manage challenging behaviours and remain calm, kind and compassionate
  • must be able to record information accurately
  • may be required to sleep in
