Responsibility
- we are looking for an experienced and talented chef de partie to join our team at Oakey Smokey
- prepare and cook meats, sides, and other dishes to the highest standard
- manage their own section in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner
- train and supervise junior members of the kitchen team
- assist with menu planning and development
- oakey Smokey is a new smokehouse opening in June 2023 that specialises in smoked meats and other BBQ dishes. Our mission is to provide high-quality, delicious food to our customers while also creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- ensure that food safety guidelines and health and safety regulations are followed
- maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

- previous experience working as a chef de partie in a similar environment
- excellent culinary skills and attention to detail
- ability to work well in a team and take direction from others
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
- must be able to stand for long periods of time
- formal culinary training preferred but not required
