Working hours
- full-time | Part-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases using Dext, Xero and Moudlr weekly
- preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure monthly
- paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances weekly
- working with the team on site to manage stock take across the Restaurant and Gift Shop
- completing VAT returns monthly
- working with the Accountants payroll team to ensure the payroll is accurate and paid on time
- developing monthly financial statements including cash flow projections, profit and loss and balance sheets
- working with the Directorship on day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks to ensure the business is running smoothly
Requirements
- accounting experience – AAT qualification
- has first-hand experience with accruals and releasing income, good experience with balance sheets and asset management and filing VAT returns
- good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
- mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping
- administrative skills for filing financial records
- multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with suppliers and other employees in the accounts department
