Requirements
- takes ownership for own and team’s performance
- experience of working within a busy warehouse environment
- good leadership, motivational, communication and people management skills with previous proven experience in this area
- excellent communication skills
- able to work to time sensitive deadlines and prioritise work
- an understanding of a target driven environment
- able to implement effective work procedures to increase employee productivity
- compliance to all health and safety legislation
Responsibility
- ensure all the correct paperwork is given to the driver
- to perform any reasonable request from the Operations Manager, Shift Manager or Team Leader
- assist in owning, leading and managing all shift activity to achieve departmental KPIs
- ensure the vehicle is loaded in a safe manner following all safe systems of work
- make sure safety equipment is considered
- with the support of the Shift Manager and HR ensure that all employee relations activity, such as absence management, performance management, disciplinary proceedings and the training and development of your team is carried out in line with Company policies and procedures
- be cross trained on the main Warehouse operations to support when required
- ensure the high level of Health, safety and welfare of all self and others through adherence to the Health and Safety statement and policy
