Responsibility

  • to undertake a role in ensuring the Safeguarding, care and welfare of each child in placement
  • the key skill is the ability to communicate clearly and calmly with others
  • successful applicants will get a thorough induction and will only work with experienced staff in the probation period

  • no8 is an Ofsted Registered Children’s home in Dorchester caring for 2 Young People aged 10 – 17.Working as part of a team you will be required to support these children as a corporate parent to live safely and develop independent skills

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • you will hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent or be expected to enroll on this qualification within 3 months of taking up post and complete this qualification within 2 years
  • residential Childcare: 1 year
