Responsibility
- working closely with the Managing Director and other heads of department in developing and implementing an ERP/MRP system
- developing PQQ and tender responses
- review client project plans and interpret their requirements
- oversee and lead the planning and delivery of PQQ’s and bid submissions in line with agreed strategies
- to read and interpret the contractual tender documents and highlight areas of risk, making recommendations accordingly pre response
- schedule and lead the internal bid management business process in developing winning bid strategies
- where necessary, to allocate responsibility to other team members in support of costing the bid/tender submissions
- as part of the management team you will produce a monthly report, stats and analytics related to the purchasing function in keeping the business fully appraised
Requirements
- ambitious, flexible, career orientated individual who would relish the opportunity to be a key driver in a dynamic, pioneering business
- desired; a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction
- at least five-years’ experience
- A broad knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts, including vesting, stage payments and title of goods
- excellent communication skills
- ERP/MRP system knowledge
- first class negotiating skills
- the ability to read and understand engineering/manufacturing drawings
