NORWOOD GROUP is looking for employees for positions:

cad technician

  • cad technician

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Education

  • amada Dr Abe training, specifically Dr Abe Blank Series is essential
  • autoCAD experience essential
  • revit experience is desirable but can be provided
  • previous experience of using SolidWorks or alternatives would be ideal but not essential

Requirements

  • prefer 2/3 years’ experience working on with CAM software preferable with Dr Abe programming all parts onto AMADA machines
  • good understanding of the full process from programming parts to a finished product
  • understanding machine tolerances
  • prefer 2/3 year’s working with CAD software AutoCAD to produce detailed 2D drawings
  • ability to read technical drawings
  • able to work flexible hours to support production demands when required
  • complete necessary paperwork
  • liaise with production operatives to ensure products are produced to a high quality
