Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • sawman and general yard worker required at our stone yard at Haltwhistle
  • please note by sawman we mean someone to operate our primary and secondary stone saws
  • saw training will be given but a good level of maths is needed to work out sizes etc
  • appropriate PPE will be provided
  • forklift truck licence is a bonus but training will be given if the right candidate comes along
  • overtime is generally available
  • work is a mix of indoors and outdoors in all weathers and involves lifting and carrying as well as operating a stone saw so a good level of physical fitness is needed
  • 42 hours per week with overtime expected when busy
