Responsibility
- working with an experienced team of controllers with over 50 vehicles
- answer incoming customer calls and entering on booking system
- answer incoming driver calls and deal proactively as required by controllers
- proactively deal with customer queries by phone or by email in a timely manner
- help with ensuring all jobs have proof of deliveries and customers are updated
- promote customers to utilise web booking facility
- observe the allocation of work to Couriers and ensure clear message has been received
- proactively monitor work in progress through to POD and completion. Ensure clients are updated with any delays or possible issues
Requirements
- have experience working in the Logistics / Courier industry with good geographic knowledge of Manchester and cities across the UK
- would suit an experienced traffic clerk or customer service agent looking to progress in a direct frontline operational role
- pleasant and friendly communicator showing respect to all
- excellent customer service skills
- proficient in use of various computer systems
