Requirements

  • A commitment to safeguarding children and young people
  • experience of developing services to meet the needs of the user
  • experience of working with Young People individually and in group settings
  • have the ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner
  • experience of offering Emotional Support to Children and Young People
  • able to communicate at all levels and effectively and sensitively with Young People
  • the capability to liaise professionally with Young Carers, their families, schools, colleges and other agencies
  • experience of working with Children and Young People under 18

Responsibility

  • carry out other duties as requested by the Senior Officer, and to support the team effort
  • other duties coincidental to the position and reasonably asked of you in line with climate, contract and Association progression
  • keeping up to date with important legislation and related issues by attending the appropriate training and by essential ready e.g. Care Act
