Responsibility
- purpose of the job
- design and detailed engineering of bespoke mechanical and hydro-mechanical products
- in this role, the Hydraulic Design Engineer will be involved and responsible for the design and development of bespoke hydro mechanical products and systems within key bolting industries
- understand relevant technical standards relating to the design and detailed engineering of bespoke mechanical and hydro-mechanical products
- oversee products throughout the entire life cycle, from design through to commissioning. Provide key technical assistance/knowledge to support customers and other departments within the business
- create drawings for hydraulic components and assemblies utilizing 2D & 3D modelling in Autodesk Inventor
- create and maintain part, assembly, and general arrangement drawings using Vault
- carry out feasibility studies, application checks, reviews and design calculations
Requirements
- HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design with a minimum of 1-year technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- technical Apprenticeship with at least 2 years technical experience in a manufacturing environment
