Responsibility
- lead and manage the HR function, overseeing the provision of an effective HR service and ensuring good practice across the organisation
- continuously monitor and review HR policies, processes and HR documentation to ensure these reflect current employment law and practice
- responsible for employee relations, including the management of absence, disciplinary procedures and grievances

- ensure H&S policies and procedures are communicated, applied and enforced
- lead on recruitment and selection processes; contracts of employment; staff induction; learning and development; talent and succession planning; performance appraisals, pay and benefits; managing change; administer payroll and payroll records
- advise and support line managers in the handling of all employee relations matters and deal with general issues relating to employment law
- lead on Health and Safety matters; carry out risk assessments, review processes, training and safe systems of work for all activities and tasks being undertaken. Maintain correct and accurate data for all H&S activities
- lead in the development and implementation of a clear EDI strategy and roadmap that promotes, supports and develops equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation
- provide expert advice and support to ensure that EDI principles are integrated into plans, policies, and processes, and cascaded through to the delivery of projects and other activities
Requirements
- minimum of Level 5 CIPD qualified
- demonstrable understanding of the importance of effective HR management
- demonstrable knowledge of generic HR best practice and employment legislation
