Responsibility
- creating concept drawings for initial consultations
- due to continued and sustained growth we are looking a CAD designer to join our team to lead the drawing and design of furniture for our workshop. The successful candidate should be creative and passionate about furniture
- researching and ordering materials and products for bespoke projects
- we specialise in making all types of bespoke furniture, free standing and fitted to a very high standard. We work with architects, interior designers and clients to produce beautifully made furniture which is tailored to their specific needs
- communicating with customers, subcontractors and architects
- regular projects include tables, chairs, cabinets, kitchens, wardrobes, studies, bedroom furniture, and bespoke joinery items for high end interiors in London and the South East
- assisting with scheduling including project installation
- producing technical drawings from detailed surveys and architects plans for use at all stages of the project - manufacture/construction, and installation
Requirements
- experience working with CAD software both 3D and 2D, Autocad and sketchup preferable
- strong understanding of furniture production and materials
- good organisational and prioritisation skills to ensure deadlines are met
- thorough, with great attention to detail
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- experience with site visits and surveys preferred but not essential
