hgv driver
Responsibility
- ensure all daily checks are undertaken in line with company standards and legislative requirements reporting any defects correctly
- complete all necessary paperwork on time and in full
- ensure all deliveries/collections are loaded correctly at temp and secure before leaving depots
- partake in pre & debrief process ensuring traffic office appraised of any required info regarding delays or accidents/incidents
- drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner respecting other road users and protecting the reputation of the company
- ensure safe delivery & collection of goods minimising risk to self, colleague & public by following company processes
- observe Company rules, procedures, and policies at all times
- ensure that the work environment –units and trailers-are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times
Requirements
- driver CPC qualification
- minimum of 2 years of experience
- ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts, including nights
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- flexibility to work overtime when needed
- clean driving record and commitment to safety
- valid HGV Class C + E license
- class 1 driving: 2 years
