Requirements

  • bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
  • current registration and licensure with the appropriate regulatory body
  • minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in neurological physiotherapy, preferably with experience in community-based care
  • strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills
  • excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload while traveling to clients' homes or community locations
  • commitment to client-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion
  • flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of clients and work within varying environments

Responsibility

  • conduct thorough assessments of clients' neurological function, mobility, and physical impairments in their homes or community settings
  • the successful candidate will work independently to deliver high-quality neurorehabilitation services to clients in their homes or community settings
  • develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines
  • provide hands-on physiotherapy interventions, exercises, and activities to improve clients' movement, function, and independence
  • educate and support clients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and self-management strategies
  • collaborate with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community resources to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients
  • monitor clients' progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and promote long-term functional gains
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with other healthcare providers
