events manager
Responsibility
- working with the Strategic Supply Chain & Customer Engagement Leads to identify event requirements to support collaboration activities
- confirm invitees and manage and coordinate all event logistics
- advertise and communicate the event to all invitees and interested parties
- manage all pre-event planning and organising
- co-ordinate suppliers, handle queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
- work with the knowledge management team to ensure details of all events are captured in the knowledge hub
- oversee the dismantling and removal of any equipment ensure any venue used is cleared
- work with the wider team to produce a detailed plan
Requirements
- event design for market stall events
- arranging and managing conferencesImmersive technology showcasing, seminar/think tank sessions
- exceptional organisational skills
- good communication skills with an ability to ask the right questions to ensure event requirements are clearly understood
- setting up and running hackathon/agile development events
- experience of identifying, negotiating and liaising with a range of suppliers
- wiling to go through security clearance, if required
- able to work under pressure and find solutions to problems as they arise
