oversee the school's catering operations, ensuring the provision of healthy and balanced meals that meet nutritional guidelines
actively participate in the Healthy Schools initiative, promoting healthy eating habits and supporting educational programs related to nutrition
overseeing the financial aspects of the school's catering service, including budgeting, cost analysis, and contract negotiations with catering suppliers
ensuring that the catering service operates efficiently, provides quality meals to students and staff
collaborate with the school’s marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting the school's catering services and increasing student engagement
work with the business manager to develop an income generation plan, including events and conferences
develop after school cookery/meal planning clubs as part of the school’s enrichment programme
ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, conducting regular audits, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas
Requirements

proven experience in catering and hospitality management, preferably within an educational setting
excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and prioritise tasks effectively
excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
knowledge of marketing principles and experience in promoting catering and hospitality services is desirable
food Safety/Hygiene Certificate L3
food safety certification and knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations are essential
