mechanical design engineer

Responsibility

  • designing fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves and mechanisms
  • full participation in customer programs as a designated development engineer
  • creating assembly and test procedures for development and qualification hardware
  • generating technical documentation adhering to company and customer Quality standards
  • providing input in engineering design in compliance with Quality standards AS9100 and ISO9001
  • generating design and compliance documents using CAD, finite element, and/or data acquisition packages

  • assisting with related engineering activities, such as propulsion systems and chemical rocket engine developments

Requirements

  • at least 2 years' post-qualification experience in the space industry
  • proficiency in CAD for 3D modeling
  • experience in structural analysis using FE software for static and dynamic analysis
  • knowledge of test rig design, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • effective stakeholder management skills
  • strong IT proficiency
  • familiarity with aerospace product design, manufacture, and testing
  • understanding of valve, mechanism, or propulsion designs

manufacturing engineer

Requirements

  • qualified Degree/HNC level in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related subject
  • experience in engineering process development, aerospace manufacturing techniques, and process improvement
  • understanding of materials science and lean manufacturing principles
  • strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and safe working practices
  • proficiency in creating, interpreting, and reviewing technical documentation and procedures
  • effective communication skills to engage stakeholders and customers
  • ability to work under pressure, manage projects, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget
  • high proficiency in PC-based applications

Responsibility

  • review processes and manufacturing techniques for continuous improvement
  • manage process documentation for current and new process implementation
  • create engineering specifications for production tooling, designing new processes, working with both customers and internal departments to manage projects
  • identify and implement processes that reduce product/project risks
  • work with relevant technical support to deliver engineering solutions to complex problems
  • develop, deploy, and maintain functional engineering standards and standard processes across the different teams in the business
  • support optimisation of facility layouts and workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • help identify, develop and support processes and manufacturing techniques for new products including process design, manufacturing solutions, productivity improvement, validation, and documentation

quality engineer

Requirements

  • degree/HND in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • quality Engineering background, ideally in the space industry
  • knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 and technical documentation
  • experience in quality management techniques and audit processes
  • proficiency in MS Office and interpreting technical drawings
  • strong communication skills and a commitment to safe working practices
  • quality assurance: 1 year

Responsibility

  • review customer requirements and generate compliance statements at bid and contract phases
  • monitor hardware progress to meet customer expectations
  • manage and generate customer deliverable documentation
  • represent the company at customer-facing reviews
  • resolve supplier non-conformances and ensure quality specifications are met
  • review manufacturing and test data for compliance and completeness
  • create End Item Data Packs and support auditing for AS9100 compliance

maintenance technician

Requirements

  • mechanical fitting and engineering skills, ideally from an apprenticeship or engineering organization
  • ability to assist with leak checks, cleanliness checks, and basic equipment inspections under supervision
  • willingness to learn engine preparation, instrumentation setup, and support for panel building
  • basic experience or willingness to learn forklift and telehandler operation
  • ability to manage and organize stock with guidance
  • enthusiasm to work collaboratively and support senior team members in testing and maintenance tasks
  • maintenance: 1 year

Responsibility

  • prepare engines, manage instrumentation, and perform decontamination and borescope inspections
  • provide forklift and telehandler support, manage stock of parts and consumables, maintain Ground Support Equipment and the decontamination area, assist with panel building and site modifications, and support the Hot Fire Test team during live engine testing

engineer

Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline
  • practical experience using CAD software, PTC-Creo is essential
  • portfolio of relevant work
  • understanding of manufacturing and machining processes
  • proficiency in GD&T, PC-based applications, and CAD software

Responsibility

  • create CAD designs and sub-assemblies for products and systems
  • use CAD to analyze and improve tooling and fixturing designs
  • develop and test new tooling and fixture designs
  • ensure designs meet quality requirements
  • liaise with manufacturing plants and design teams
  • support in-house and subcontractor manufacturing
  • resolve design and tooling issues
  • develop Manufacturing Statements of Work & Standards
