this is an exciting role for a Health, Safety & Environment professional to be part of a Company which is growing, diversifying and passionate about customer satisfaction
responsible for the review, updating and training against the Site’s Emergency Response Procedure
act as Site Main Controller in the event of an emergency incident
as a member of the Site Leadership Team you will be responsible for the development and improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment policies across the entire organisation, promoting a positive Health & Safety and Environmentally aware culture
liaising with Competent Authorities such as the Health & Safety Executive, Natural Resources Wales and the local County Council
the submission of Dangerous Substance notifications when necessary
responsible for the co-ordination, administration and effective operation of the management systems for Health, Safety and Environment, in-line with HSG 65 and Neatcrown’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy
Education
diploma of Higher Education
Requirements
NEBOSH Diploma preferrable, but NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
sound knowledge of current health, safety and environment legislation
experience of working with a management system, ISO9001, ISO14001 or OHSAS18001/ISO 45001 required. Lead auditor/auditor qualifications would be an advantage
experience of COMAH regulations relating to a chemical manufacturing site would be desirable
member of IOSH or IEMA or Engineering Council would be desirable
chemical manufacturing: 3 years
experience of applying the principles of safety as applied to the manufacture, storage, handling and dispatch of hazardous chemicals – Minimum of 3 years within a Chemical manufacturing environment
