Responsibility
- provide personalized care and support to elderly clients in their own homes or care facilities, tailored to their individual needs
- assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions, reporting any changes to the care manager or healthcare professionals
- engage clients in social, recreational, and cognitive activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being
- perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families, providing regular updates on their well-being and addressing any concerns
- adhere to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality
- attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required
Requirements
- A thorough understanding of person-centred care principles and best practices in elderly care
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for working with elderly individuals and a commitment to promoting their dignity, well-being, and independence
- enhanced DBS check
- right to work in the UK
