operations director

Responsibility

  • we are seeking maternity cover until December 2024, for a Director of Operations to run the day-to-day operations of our small and successful performing arts charity
  • applicants will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check prior to the start of the post and safeguarding training
  • the National Youth Arts Trust is a performing arts charity that exists to widen access to the performing arts for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds – through giving bursaries for music, dance, and drama lessons, running youth theatre projects, and taking children to the theatre, often for the first time
  • the ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, who would like to build on their management experience in the third sector and arts industry and is passionate about equal opportunity in the performing arts

  • the role is very varied, including managing our youth theatre projects and our bursary and mentoring scheme, fundraising, budgeting, building relationships and caring for our members and supporters
  • we are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual, who is a confident fundraiser to help scale up our work nationwide, run the day-to-day management of the Trust, and assist in fulfilling the trustee’s strategic plans for 2024
