Responsibility
- maintain accounts for the Charity and it subsidiary company
- arrange payment of staff salaries, PAYE, NI and pension contributions
- make payments for all staff and volunteer expenses
- ensure all expenditure payments are made on time
- maintain Direct Debits subscriptions
- raise invoices for advertising in the Flower Arranger magazine
- responsible for banking of cash and cheques
- maintain adequate level of petty cash and record all transactions
Requirements
- at least 5 years of experience in a finance manager role
- strong experience with Xero accounting software
- strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- proven experience in managing VAT returns in relation to charities
- fully conversant with Charities SORP
- knowledge / experience of operating a trading subsidiary
- knowledge of budgeting and presentation
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
