- collaborate with game developers to understand game design requirements and implement server-side features and functionalities
- develop and integrate APIs, plugins, and third-party services for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and other server-related functionality
- we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Server Engineer to join our Unity game development team
Requirements
- proven experience as a Server Engineer in Unity game development, with at least 5 years of server-side development experience
- strong proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Node.js
- extensive experience with backend technologies and frameworks such as Node.js, postgres and redis
- deep understanding of networking protocols, client-server architectures, and server-authoritative game logic
- expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs, web services, and distributed systems
- experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and knowledge of serverless architecture
- familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- solid understanding of software development principles, version control systems, and agile methodologies
