Responsibility
- performs ultrasounds on the pelvic region of a pregnant patient to determine information about an unborn foetus
- carries out a range of prenatal scans from early pregnancy reassurance to 4D scans and gender scans
- carries out phlebotomy for NIPT screening
- independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol
- demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity and respect
- determines which equipment to use, preparing patients for the procedure, and properly positioning the patient
- complies with to all foetal ultrasound safety guidelines
- ensures the clinic is clean and tidy at all times
Requirements
- A talented obstetric Sonographer with an expert understanding of Obstetric Ultrasound practice
- minimum of 3 years experience working as an Obstetric Sonographer, with available references
- A great communicator who makes the prenatal scanning experience special for patients and their families
- prior experience working in a prenatal facility as an Obstetric Sonographer
- expert understanding of Obstetric Ultrasound practice
- excellent Communication skills
- strong interpersonal and patient focused approach skills
- good Organisation skills
