- to be responsible for and manage a caseload of both allocated schools and individual referrals

Requirements
- NVQ in Education Welfare, DipSW, CQSW or degree in a related field or an appropriate child or young person qualification
- previous experience of working in a child focused organisation
- previous experience of practice and procedures relating to the liaison between agencies
- ability to move around the borough and visit schools and families homes
- and understanding of, and commitment to, the council's policies on equal opportunities, customer care and health and safety
- understanding of the issues that affect young people to not attend and how this may differ by gender and ethnicity
- enhanced DBS
- the ability to work methodically, prioritising work in order to meet given deadlines
